Can someone tell me how to display the track and the route at the same time? Thanks

You make the track visible on the map, and load the route. The process is different depending on whether or not you have set up Explore on your XT. How to do it in both cases is documented here - starting with how to find out if you have set up Explore or not.
The following pages show you how to do it in both cases.

Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

Thanks for the reply, I did what you said and removed Explorer, now I need to know how to display both tracks and the route. I didn't get a clear method of that in the post that you mentioned. Thanks again for your help.

Click Next at the bottom of the page to get to "57 Show Tracks without EXPLORE"
