US & Canada 2019.30

Was just playing with my 550 and saw that Garmin had issued 2019.30 for the US & Canada. Did not see it listed before, so just letting everyone know.

I just loaded this update to my Zumo 550 without incident. It looks good so far.

Here we go again! BaseCamp, MapSource and MapInstall don't recognize 2019.30 is installed on my PC.

Not sure what you mean by that? Map shows fine in my MapSource?

Do you also have North America maps? Unfortunately I installed 2019.30 to both Z665s and neither map program can access that mapset.

City Navigator North America NT 2019.2 shows up in the MapSource, BaseCamp and MapInstall programs. CNNANT2019.3 does not. I've reinstalled twice with Garmin Express to My Computer, once with each of my Z665s. CNNANT2019.3 also does not show in JaVaWa GMTK 4.1. I've rebooted Win10 and still no cigar.

In City Navigator North America NT 2019.20.gmap folder, file I0001E02.TYP exists.
In City Navigator North America NT 2019.30.gmap folder, file I0001E99.TYP exists.

Contents of both files are binary, so I don't know how to dig deeper.

The two Info*.xml files in each gmap properly point to the same .typ file names.

There are many 2019.30 entries in the registry, so I assume these are proper.

CN NA 2019.30 showing as expected in Mapsource and Basecamp on my Win7 PC.

Haven't installed it yet to my Win10 laptop so unsure if maybe it's a Win10 issue? Will do so now and post back, probably tomorrow as nearly bed time here

Edit: Just installed 6.9.1 to my laptop running Win10. Downloaded CN NA 2019.30 and it showed in both BaseCamp and Mapsource, so whatever problem you're having isn't anything to do with Express/Win10.

1. Uninstall CNNANT2019.30 using Settings>Apps & Features.
2. Garmin Express, changed Install to Computer location from C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps to E:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps. (Like I always do, as I don't want massive data on my SSD C: drive. Reinstalled maps to PC. BC, MS and JaVaWa GMTK don't see it.
3. Uninstall CNNANT2019.30 using Settings>Apps & Features.
4. Garmin Express, left Install to Computer location at C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps. Reinstalled maps to PC. BC, MS and JaVaWa GMTK all see it.

Garmin Express bug: it forgot to make C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\City Navigator North America NT 2019.30 shortcut pointing to E:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\City Navigator North America NT 2019.30.gmap. That shortcut is necessary for MS and GMTK.

Ran 1. & 2. again, verified MS & GMTK don't see it, manually created C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\City Navigator North America NT 2019.30 shortcut pointing to E:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\City Navigator North America NT 2019.30.gmap and it work as expected!

I'll test it tonight on my laptop to make sure.

Try using GMTK to move the maps from C to E drive, that way it should be set up correctly.

My old laptop didn't recognize any maps on my E: drive. GWTK fixed them! Thanks.
