The latest Express installed today perfectly OK.

As did all of the maps and other updates - on my XT and on my 595. Installed maps on computer with the XT connected.

I always do one item at a time. I find that doing a few sometimes causes issues. Some updates require the Zumo to restart, and I am not convinced that it works properly if you leave the Zumo unattended.

Today, I discovered something really important. I found another way that doesn't work.

I have got an answer from Garmin to my issue today, but without solution so far.
I was able to find on PC with Windows 10 to find under in this folder:

C:\Users\All Users\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Application\Application_Application.express-windows.7.15.2.0\omt\express\windows\7.15.2.0\bac4b7d85063ddf33453d07f60430a96

Installation file of v.7.15.2.0. After downgrade I can see again my Nav V and Nav VI. This confirm that there is a bug with GE v.7.16.0 / 7.16.1 and BMW Navigators. Based on feedback from others in this thread seems to work with Zumo XT and 595.

I tried to find the same folder with previous installation file on PC with Windows 11, but without success. Does anyone know where installation files (for Firmware, Garmin Express and Maps) are located in Windows 11?

I used the middle section of your link above to search my Windows 11 PC. It located the following, followed by a long string of digits.

C:\Users\All Users\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Application\Application_Application.express-windows.7.15.2.0\omt\express\windows\7.15.2.0\

C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Application\Application_Application.express-windows.7.15.2.0\omt\express\windows\7.15.2.0\

It seems to be the same file in two different places. If you send me your Firmware and Maps file paths I'll do the same. It's dead easy using Everything.

Thank you both for answers, seems that you are right. Strange than on my PC with Windows 11 I can see in C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\CoreService\Downloads folder just Firmware installation files, no Garmin Express.

Garmin Express Ver.7.16.2.0 is now available, but I report still the same issue - NAV V nor NAV VI is recognized - same error message: "We are unable to add this device our servers are unavailable at this time".

Interesting tidbit...
From what I can tell, the files stored in C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Application (duplicated in C:\Users\All Users\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Application) only exist when you do an update of Express from with Express. They don't exist when you download Express and then install it, even as an upgrade. This is the method I prefer although I have allowed Express to update which is why I see random version stored in the above locations.

@jfheath, I don't recall leaving the XT connected when I install maps to my PC. Maybe I do and just forgot. Is it required? If not, some other benefit?
Edit: Never mind. I don't know what I was thinking when I asked this. Of course the device has to be connected.

@Peobody: Sorry - I have just seen this. Sometimes when you use @name - the named person isn't alerted, and the text doesn't go blue (or red in your case). You have to select the name from the pop up box to be certain !

To answer. I think you have to have your Zumo connected in order to begin the download of maps. I normally do the Zumo and the PC at the same time, so I have just got into the habit of leaving it connected during the transfer. Anything to minimise the plugging / unplugging at the XT end. In fact, on my desk the XT usually has the lead plugged in and is lying face down - even if it isn't connected to anything

Today, I discovered something really important. I found another way that doesn't work.
