openstreet map doesn't calculate routes

Post by mauritswoudenberg »

Hi,

I entered Iran a couple of days ago so my Europe maps don't cover anymore. I downloaded and installed the map of Iran from open street map and the map seems pretty detailed. My zumo just doesn't want to calculate routes on it. It calculates something, but really rough with only some edgy lines which I think represent only the mainroads in low quality vectoring.

Doe someone know how to setup the zumo so I can navigate comfortably in Iran?

Thanks all!

Cheers,
Maurits

You may have two maps for the same area ticked in myMaps.
If you have the OSM maps ticked, make sure that no other map is ticked if it covers any of the same area.

Today, I discovered something really important. I found another way that doesn't work.

ha, that actually sounds pretty plausible. It shows OSM but uses the other, highly simplified map to calculate the route...
Will try today.
Thanks!

Yep, if you haven't unticked your CN map it'll cause what you describe. Once you deselect it all should be well IF the OSM map is a routeable map.
