What do you do to pay the bills?

Post by tojjer »

I'm a Paramedic for my sins.
In my 20th year now and looking at giving it up in another 2 or 3 if possible.
It's certainly not the job I joined anymore, we're just everybody's whipping boys now. People can't get appointments 24/7 anywhere else, so they call us for the most ridiculous things going.
Even worse, is our lot feel obliged to send us to it!!!!

Know the feeling. Thankfully I spent my last three years on the response car, took great delight in telling folks they weren't getting a free ride to the hospital just because they couldn't be bothered to contact their GP :)

Our response cars are mixed into the rota. It's the nights that really do me in.
I've always done shift work, but it's starting to catch up with me now, big time
