Smoothed routes?

Post by w2ge »

Anyone try them? I get Club emails from a bunch Of northeast bmw clubs and a few guys are using, sending out “smoothed routes” before a group ride due to the difficulties of everyone using different gps, mapsets and gps settings and them not routing alike..

As I understand, 1.) you create a route.. 2.) convert it into a track, 3.) then convert it back into a route. Downside, all waypoints removed, you lose voice commands, but.. route stays on route for everyone due to a zillion viapoints dropped into the route.

What say ye?

Can I ask... exactly how do you do this process, My Biggest question... do you change profile to direct when your going from track to route, and then that final route change to motorcycling Profile?

Sorry this answer is days later I never checked notifications on this post
