Music Organization (Folders or Not)

Post by carolinarider09 »

On my 2820 and my then my 550, it was said I should keep the music (MP3 files) in separate folders to speed up the boot process. So, I have always keep them in folders.

Now, I'd like to just load the music into the MP3 folder with out subdividing folders. Has anyone tried that and if so, how does it work as far as the boot up and music loading process.

Thanks.

On my Zumo 660 I did it without any folders and it took longer to boot up. After I removed the MicroSD card it boots instantly.
