using my 595 and trying to search cats. going to travel and then airports and nada
go to the box and put in airports and it works
called garmin and they are sending out another unit (lucky its still under warranty
anyone else have that problem all is updated with current updates
also when trying to erase and reboot unit it does not take out saved places

No idea about the search issue but if favourites/saved places remained after a master reset it's likely you sent them to your device using BaseCamp or similar. You'll need to manually delete the gpx files in the GPX folder, then do the master reset.
