Re: Learning and using Basecamp
Hi, thanks for the reply.
I really am thick, how do I let BC create the route? On mine, it just shoves a straight line between the points.

Re: Learning and using Basecamp
I find BC so complicated. Been using tyre2travel, and more recently Myrouteapp to plan a route, save the gpx files and import it to BC to check if it will match up on the Garmin. Long winded I know, but BC really confuses me, and I almost get a route planned and mess it up cos I forget to click the ...

Re: Bluetooth headsets
I'm looking at the Packtalk Bold. The difference with the Bold is that it uses voice activation for almost everything, whereas the Packtalk you still have to tap the button first. With the Packtalk, you can still connect to older style bluetooth units as well as matching mesh units. I'm currently us...

Re: Incident detected
Ok, so I did a full master factory reset. Went out on the bike and it didn't do it once. I tapped it on the desk gently and it came up with that message, so I can only assume its working correctly now. It seems that the last software update might have been corrupted somehow. I've done an update sinc...

Re: Incident detected
Right, went out in the car this morning, and used the sat nav to direct me to town. Never detected an incident once. Brilliant, I thought. Obviously I needed to set up an emergency contact, and then delete it to stop those annoying messages. Went out on the bike just now, and I hadn't gone 50 yards ...

Re: Incident detected
I'm phoning them tomorrow ( that's if they're not too busy training staff again to answer! )
It actually says now that incident detection is disabled, it didn't say anything before. I'll give it a go tomorrow and report back
Cheers Stu

Re: Incident detected
Hi Stu, thanks for that. I didn't have any contacts set up for any incidents that occur. I've just tried setting one up and then unticking the send SMS box. I'll see if that works. Funny thing is, it only starting doing it a week or so ago, didn't do it for the first month or so that I had it. Still...

Re: Incident detected
Well, I went out on a ride with a few mates today and did 245 miles. The 346 showed an "incident detected" message halfway across the screen for the whole journey. It changed the address of said incidents every 100 yards or so.
Really cheesing me off this is.
