Re: Combine routes
My device is connected to Basecamp because the Garmin has the Europe maps installed on it, but the route(s) are not installed onto the Garmin. Everything I am trying to do is in a folder in Basecamp prior to sending the route to the Garmin.

Re: Combine routes
It’s just a test to make sure that I know how to create a route, then upload it with the correct names to my garmin…and then be able to open those routes with the garmin and follow them. Covid has meant that everything I learned, but never got a chance to put into practice..was forgotten, and now ha...

Re: Combine routes
I created the routes in Basecamp, simply by clicking on the map using the rubber band method, with waypoints at the beginning, important intersections and at the end.

Combine routes
I decided to create a route to test my ability to create a route, upload it to a GPS and have Waypoints announce to let me know if I had strayed from the route and guide me back on to the route…..but, my route is in a few pieces…
Can I combine the routes into one route?

Re: How to recalc route on the fly
If you go off route and Off Route Recalculation is allowed, then the Zumos will immediately recalculate the current section of the route. That is, from where you are now to the route point that is the next one in the list - ie to where it was trying to take you anyway. ------ If the next route poin...

Re: "There was an error calculating this route"
I spoke too soon. The PC isn’t loading the Europe map correctly. My route shows up, but is displaced off the road. As well, only major roads show up, not the “B” roads.
My iMac appears to load everything ok (touch wood) so it might be a Windows 10/Basecamp issue.

Re: "There was an error calculating this route"
I uninstalled Basecamp, then reinstalled it, with the GPS recognized by the computer…everything is fine now.

Re: "There was an error calculating this route"
I installed the North America map on my PC, but the errors occur when using the map of Scotland - I cannot find a way to download that map to my PC. I did re-download the Europe map to my Garmin 396, that did not solve the issue. I then updated the Nvidia drivers for the graphics card. The next thin...
