Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Yes but is that when you select your Zumo in Express or your 1490? If it's your Zumo then try deleting it from Express and re-adding it. IF you only have 2013.NTU on your Zumo and IF you do have lifetime maps and IF Express is working correctly you will be offered an update. The fact you're not mean...

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Well it wouldn't be the first time Garmin website was wrong, so given Adobney has a NTU map it should be simple enough to run Express, it will detect the map and install the up to date one, which is 2018.30

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Yes, I wasn't sure which is why I kept making a comment about it, strange though. I have a 1490 and it also uses NT maps, so how Adobney is getting NTU maps I don't know :?:

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Ok but you can't as you suggested get the 2013 map from your device into BaseCamp. Since you appear to have just that map on your Zumo the next step is as I mentioned to use Express to update the map on your device. Express will also send the same map to your PC for BaseCamp to use, see the Install ...

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

You keep referring to the 2013 map and I'm unclear why? You need to update to the latest if you have a LM model, as you say you do. That is 2018.30 if your device accepts a NTU map, but as it's only offering you 2018.20 maybe it uses the NT map. Let Express install that to your device and your PC. A...

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Once your Zumo is updated and BaseCamp with the same map you'll be able to recalculate the routes in BaseCamp so if they are routes you want I wouldn't delete them. As for routes from 3rd parties, yes, definitely import them into BaseCamp then recalculate then send to your Zumo. Not sure though why ...

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Yes :D

Just as well really as when things go wrong in BaseCamp an uninstall then reinstall generally resolves it and if that deleted all the data it would be a real pain. If you want to delete data though it's very simple.

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

I suspect part of your issue is that MapInstall has put maps in BaseCamp meant for your 1490 onto your Zumo, which is how you've ended up with both NT and NTU maps installed. Newer devices won't allow you to do this, MapInstall won't offer to load an incorrect map, but it did on older devices. Gener...

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Just adding to this to clear up confusion between NT and NTU maps. Older devices use NT maps, newer use NTU. Your 1490 uses NT but I'm not sure about your Zumo, I suspect it should be NTU.

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

This depends on how the maps got there. If you sent them using MapInstall they should be in a folder named Map on your device or card (if you have one installed). Do a search for any file ending in .img. It's likely to be called gmapsupp.img. There are likely to be two other files starting gmapsupp ...
