Re: Wierd things happening after map & software update
Adding to what Rofor said about the routable maps being active, note that the OSM maps most likely will not have the junction images, speed zones, school zones, etc.... and (at least here in the states) the OSM maps probably will not have a detailed address database for searching.

Re: Prevent Zumo XT from recording speed
I will say that the only sure fire way for the XT to not record your activities is to leave it at home, or not turn it on..... if you don't like it don't use it. Problem solved.

Re: Advice needed on trip to USA
You might inquire about what Harley you are renting. Most all of the newer Electra Glides and Road Kings have built in GPS maps in the radio/nav unit.
My '17 has it, so I'd imagine that anything newer also would, unless the head unit was replaced with something aftermarket.

Re: Drive App notification says firmware update available
My XT did the same thing.... wanted a wifi update that for some reason didn't come thru the express link on the pc. I had done the express updates and new maps so my guess is that the XT wanted a wifi connection to confirm? I did turn on the wifi and it only took a short time to connect and then the...

Re: Nav vs BC timing difference
I'm hoping I don't stir the pot with my suggested theory on this.... Basecamp uses a flat speed value based upon defined road type, and yes that is adjustable in BC, but it does apply this value to the entire length of said road type. XT has more updated speed zones that I'm presuming it does utiliz...

Re: XT and Sena 10U issue
to the OP, the phrase "it all depends" is relevant here. If you could give a little more information about what audio signals you are expecting from what devices. Are you getting music from your XT, phone, wired source? it all makes a difference to how the sena functions. I also use a sena...

Re: Upload looks wrong??
No, but you can force a recalc now by changing properties when you view the route on your device from fastest to shortest and vice versa. If you still get straight lines something is wrong, but without more detail it's currently difficult to say. I think if you change the vehicle type ie car to mot...

Re: Do you wrench on your bike?
For the most part I wrench on my own, and have for quite a while. I did have a BMW dealer replace the FD and transmission seals on my R1100 only because I didn't have the tool setup for the final drive. It was a carry in job for them so they were ok with doing the work, otherwise if I took them the ...
