I have found mine the opposite!

I find that it takes a while before it recognises I am off route

So lloks like they have updated the version number to fix something pretty quickly

It might also be worth checking other accesories or accesory plugs as to whether they have power when it does cut out as it maybe the central electronics being overloaded and cutting out

I would be temptep to remove it from the hex ezcan and go directly to the battery and eliminate that

Are you using any sort of adapter on the bmw nav prep or have you removed all of that?

According to that the Garmin tread and the Zumo XT2 are backwards compatible with the Garmin zumo xt mount
