I purchased these from a gentleman, Berto Klein, on the Dutch Facebook group: Garmin Zumo groep

Re: Duplicate vs. Copy Operation
They don't really have anything to do directly related to a route. They are very important to understand though in helping to keep your data in Basecamp organized. Keep in mind that the Basecamp My Library works in a database fashion and Copy and Duplicate have very different effects. For example, w...

Re: Gravel and Dirt Roads - How to Tell?
Delineating between dirt/gravel and paved roads is not related to the GPS. That data is in the maps and unfortunately the gis data used in making maps often does not delineate between gravel and paved. You could try using topo maps for the area as they may be more helpful.

Re: Dilemma
I went from a Z590, upgraded to the 595 firmware only because the 595 identified by name when skipping a via point. Keep in mind that the only difference between the 590 and 595 is the firmware. I now have an XT and I love the XT. The difference in the screens viewability is nothing short of astound...

Re: Speed cam warning
You do not need to disable the built in POIs.
You can increase the size of the icons. The icons are .bmp files that in the same folder as the pois. Just increase the size of the icon using a program like MS Paint. Then reload the pois using POI Loader.

Re: POI Icon on the XT
Don't use Explore if you are adding Custom POIs with POI Loader. Talking about Custom POIs not Saved Waypoints: You can use custom icons with POIs. You need to create or download the custom icon you want to use, and save it in the same folder you have saved your POIs. It would be saved as bitmap fil...

Re: Turn off audio alert for Via-Points?
Yes many folks experience this behaviour as a limitation. There are a couple of ways of dealing with it. Personally, for the most part, I don't have the GPS route me back to the route. I typically have relatively few viapoints in my routes. I set Recalculate to off, will zoom out and manually route ...

Re: new Xt will not recognize BT device .
I honestly don't understand what you mean when you say that "the xt shows the device connected but will not show that it recognizes it". I had no issues at all pairing my cheap Amazon bluetooth dongle to the Aux input of my GW. I don't recall if there is a choice but it should be paired as...

Re: Loosing all points when converting from Track to Route?
No where is it obvious but you need to change the activity profile from Motorcycling to Direct before you convert the track to a route. With the activity profile set to Direct the dialog box asking for the number of via points should open when you click on Create route from Selected Track. After you...
