It should just recalculate to the next shaping point. But I suggest you try it out yourself before you head off to France - different models may do different things.

Pete, There is something seriously wrong here. I’ve planned a 3 week trip abroad using Basecamp/Mapsource and the Garmin agreed with it. So, it SHOULD work. If you run a speed test and it looks OK, it could be the routing from your ISP onwards. You could try changing your DNS settings to 1.1.1.1 and see if that makes a difference. I’m in the UK on a 200mb/sec line and I get a 200mb/sec download from Garmin, so I know it should be faster than you are get...

It could be your ISP or your PC. Is it connecting wirelessly? If so, can you connect using a wired connection?
