Just had a look at mine and its doing the same thing

I have made a slight change let me know if things are better

If not let me know what you want and I will take a look at the settings

Using an external source is not a good idea as if anything happens you can lose that image from the post

If you want larger images I can increase the size if need be

I have just checked mine and wifi on or off it no longer checks for updates on shutdown

I did not yet update to 6.60. I can confirm that on 6.50 the unit searches for updates when power is lost, even when WIFI is disabled. But you probably knew that! My XT does not do this.
