You just need to ensure it's selected in the settings on your 550. Personally I'd leave the old map on your Zumo, just ensure it's deselected in Settings. The advantage of that is that should you lose the sd card or it goes faulty you have the old map as a back up.

Forgot that the 550 wont allow Express to access the memory card. To update the map see https://support.garmin.com/en-GB/?faq=b ... memorycard

You shouldn't need too, Express should ask you to insert a card if one is needed. If it doesn't then please confirm that so we can advise further.

I could but Express is now up to 7.15.2.0, no release notes yet

Do you have a 'dashcam' running? I had a cheap one once which interfered with routing etc on my satnav. Replacing it with a more expensive version solved the issue

Assuming you don't have 2 maps loaded covering the same area, as that can cause some of the issues you mention, you should try a master reset, the issues you describe certainly aren't typical

I did both of these suggestions, and they did not work. There was no temp.gpx file when hooked to the pc. I deleted all gpx files and did the reset and still have the ability to import those files. I will attempt to find that temp file, but am not sure where to look. Thanks for the suggestions. Do ...
