Route info, but not on route
Friday morning on the way to work I noticed something on my XT I haven't seen before. I was not using a route, but in the green status bar it had Work and estimated time of arrival and traffic info. 20048324.png I had not put in Work as a destination and I don't have a saved route/trip for home to w...

Re: Weather Radar not "Playing" when loading
That is very possible and did occur to me as a possibility.electro_handyman wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 12:06 am I'm sure I'm probably wrong, but my gut says it wouldn't surprise me if the radar loop(when moving) was specifically disabled as it leads to distracted driving... and there is enough of that already that goes on. Just my .02

Re: Weather Radar not "Playing" when loading
Must be a glitch in last firmware update.

Re: Weather Radar not "Playing" when loading
So after trying a it a few times I have also found that Radar Animation works normally if I’m sitting still, but if I’m moving it is a static image. Also as others, if I’m sitting still and leave the radar up with the animation going and start moving it freezes. I’m not sure if this is by design or ...

Re: Weather Radar not "Playing" when loading
I have an iPhone 11 on AT&T. I need to do more testing, but it seems it takes a long time for the radar to load period. Since this thread started I've tried to pay attention to it and I've not noticed any animation, Although I swear I can remember animation when I first got the XT. I will keep c...

Re: Garmin Zumo XT
I agree.
I upgraded from a 550 and there really isn't any comparison.
Turns out the issue I was having with the 550 may have just been the way the power cable was wired....but wouldn't give up the XT to go back now.

Re: WARNING - Garmin Zumo XT hot-shoe connector weakness
I had it connected to the wire for the light bar. I have 2004 Honda VTX. Not sure if it that sophisticated, but perhaps. I had a zumo 550 connected to the same wire for years with no problem. But the 550 started “acting up” powering on and off on its own. So no it appears my upgrade to the XT may no...

Re: WARNING - Garmin Zumo XT hot-shoe connector weakness
So.....it seems in my case it was connecting to switched power instead of battery power. Using the old cable I connected to wires that I had connected directly to the battery and everything is working fine. It automatically switches to motorcycle mode and is powered from the mount. I'm still a bit c...
