Re: Tether for the 590

This is on an XT, but has been the go-to approach for tethering for some time now: @cr0100, it is nothing very exotic, but neither is it intrusive. Simply take a zip tie anchor and stick it on the back, then fashion a loop that is long enough to go over and around the mounting plate. If the zumo bec...

Re: Zumo XT section

Garmin pretty much seems to have ANT+ across the board.

The wee low-buck Edge 130 computer for my bicycle has ANT+, as do all the current sports GPS/computer/gizmo-widgets.

Re: Audio warning issue

Jefro, can you provide your settings (see Hati's post #3) and can you describe where and under what circumstances you get these audibles?

I am in Southern California and have not gotten these alerts.

Thanks!

Re: Zumo XT screen protectors

protectionfilms24 don't ship to the US, either. I wonder V-Tom, do they ship to Canada because you are associated with Royal Mail?

Re: Zumo XT screen protectors

In the US we have nothing and the Brotec folk in Germany do not ship to the US. If you want some screen protection here it's going to be roll yer own for a while.

Re: Surpriiiiise.... Says Garmin about the mount bracket.

Mine seems to be quite tight and secure. Never the less, I have a tether on the XT that loops around the mount just in case. This is not an XT thing, I had done this with my 660 and put the tether on the XT as soon as I got it. Tethers on stuff mounted to motorcycles has saved my bew-tocks on more t...

Re: Audio warning issue

I really hope Garmin comes through on your ticket. That's got to be annoying as, well, really annoying.

Seems we'll sit and wait on this one.

I have:
Motorcycle Locations
Gas Stations
Attractions
Restaurants
Lodging
Rest Areas
Recreation
Everyday Life
Shopping
Banking and ATM
Parking
Art & Entertainment
Medical Care
Transit

It's just the difference in nomenclature. But you don't have an extra one where rogue PAs could be hiding!

Re: Audio warning issue

Hati, I rather thought that was the case. I thas me thinking that your mapset has these speed-zone-change POIs that have some sort of rogue proximity alert going on. I don't suppose that you can see them in one of the sub-categories under Categories, can you? Perhaps under Transit...
