Re: Power overload cut off

The XT works and charges when connected to USB and USB is 5VDC so therefore the XT must require 5VDC. I imagine that there is likely to be a step down transformer (electronic type) within the XT or the XT mount to step the 12VDC from a motorcycle or car to 5VDC for use within the device. The step d...

Map errors!

I have just discovered a map error on my XT While reading this thread https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1634 and doing some testing I was seeing what differences I would get compared to google maps with fastest route calculations Anyway searching for and getting directions for York (U...

Re: Every saved trip showing

The reason I asked about Explore is because if you have saved trips/tracks by default it shows them all on the map and you have to change the settings

Have you got a screenshot of what you are seeing?

Re: Power overload cut off

I have searched high and low and can't find a definitive answer!

I have an adaptor on my R1200rt with a step down transformer and it always worries me that it goes wrong and applies 12v to the XT!

Power overload cut off

Does anyone know if the XT has a safety cut off feature in that if you apply too much power it auto shuts off to protect itself or will it be a case of if you apply too much voltage the XT will be toast?

I don't want to try it for obvious reasons

Re: Faster or Shorter?

Always set to fastest route here with avoid motorways

Shortest is a nightmare in the UK as @alan sh says too many minor roads!

In fact I have had the zumo take too long and say can't calculate route on shortest route!

Re: Garmin 590 Reset

if you have sent a route to the zumo then the unit should recognise that you have done this and it should ask you to import the route

Failing that go to Apps then trip planner

Not tracks
