It's the installed version of Express on my Laptop.

You're sure about this? The 660 may not display the achieved top speed and display it on a summary page - but if you look at a recorded track in Basecamp or a similar software, there should be the archived speed for any track point recorded! I can't imagine any police officer having handy access to...

My Zumo 660, like many (not all) garmin units records highest speed, however it does not record when or where the speeds were achieved, so would be useless for any prosecution.

So Garmin are no longer updating BC?? What will they replace it with?? I've been using Mapsource for at least 15 years, just my opinion of course, but it doesn't need 'updating' it works perfectly (for me) just as it is. I use it with my Zumo 660, my Camper 760 , and my wifes Drive 40, with excelle...

The 'View' (in Google Earth) stopped working in Mapsource long ago.. however, just right clicking on the maps (in Mapsource) gives the option to view in Google Satellite Imagery.

I rarely (if ever) use Basecamp, much preferring Mapsource.. but occasionally I 'play' with Basecamp... how does one get to view satellite imagery in Basecamp?

In Mapsource I just right click anywhere on the map and get a menu with this option.

Have you tried Mapsource? it's much more 'stripped down' than Basecamp, without all the unnecessary (for me) 'extras'... but works very well.

Why would you choose Google Maps instead of Basecamp or Mapsource?
