I downgraded the firmware as mentioned above and the problem disappeared.
That’s odd, but it worked.

Mine does that too!!! It sucks. I have a Garmin 590LM and a SENA 20s. Latest firmware updates on both. It's a Sena issue. Lately our two Sena 20s's have been horrible. One of the things I have started to do recently is to create a track of the route. I upload both the track and the route to the unit.
