Re: Anyone use a Cardo Intercom with their Zumo?

Just mute the Zumo, the spoken directions are just repetitive and annoying.

Re: PONI killer application

I change them to not announced using Garmin Basecamp. IIRC you need to open the route, right click the point and select not announced.

Re: New Garmin Zumo XT

Been looking at some reviews of the XT, sounds like they've made changes to the way it deals with following a pre planned route and what it does after a detour, I was particularly interested (assuming I understood, the video's in Dutch with English subs) in the way it gets you back to the route, and...

Re: New Garmin Zumo XT

No mention of the USB being USB 3 which is really too bad given how long it takes to load maps. Updating its supplied mapping is via its built in Wi-Fi. Are you saying that it can't be done via USB? If so then another reason I would avoid. I see 'in the box' there's a data cable so sounds like ther...

Re: Zumo XT section

where it mentions rugged build, it seems to show a speaker on the back. Certainly looks like a speaker. I was concerned at the phrase 'weather resistant' rather than waterproof, but it's IPX7 rated which is same spec as previous (at least my 396) I also see it has ANT+, I'm wondering if they'll sti...

Re: Oldest supported device

Not really an answer to the question, which would be: I don't know...but I've got a Nuvi 360, not sure when it was released, or when I bought it, but first available on Amazon October 2001. It still gets map updates now and then through Garmin Express. I used to use it on the bike, and still use it ...

Re: CN EU 2020.30 NTU

Having problems downloading, I picked the 'install all updates' from Express rather than go to options to also install to PC, so both my Zumos have updated but re-running the update to install to the PC means downloading the update again which I've tried a couple of times and consistently stalls at ...

Re: Germany routes

GPX format circular route we did last year. 170+ miles of fabulous roads!
Obviously the start finish needs adjusting, we were staying a bit West of Cochem, in Manderscheid.

Re: is it just me....?

Years ago I used to use a Nuvi 360 on the bike, and if you just want to let it choose your route they're OK - as long as it doesn't rain. So I spent several weeks on Mapsource planning a trip across France only to find the Nuvi doesn't work with planned routes. I managed to sort of follow the route ...
