i may be completely of base here but does the 395 have a replaceable battery pack like the Montana.That unit has trouble with the battery pack contacts to the unit and the fix is to make sure the battery pack is held tight(think of a foam earplug) within the cavity once the "door" is closed.

I beleive you have to have exactly the same folder hierachy as noted above on the sd card

well that scenario is a good illustration of what you want and i can see why you want it.

Is this a recent problem?The latest version of basecamp(or maybe mapinstall) seems to have a problem whereby maps are not sent to the device.I dont think an error message is flagged but the update behaviour is different than normal.

a cool feature of basecamp then.Use basecamp regu;arly to organise your data and you can make regular backups.You never know when you will need them!
