Re: Nav V internal memory full, load new maps
No need to mess about like that, Express will automatically use the card if it needs to when updating maps. The only issue may be that when you say the internal memory is 'full' as Express may baulk if there isn't a small amount of free space on your device, how much free space is there? A few hundr...

Re: How to transfer waypoints to SD card on XT
Note too that should you ever need to copy data from MapSource to BaseCamp and vice versa you can simply copy and paste from one to the other, no need to export data and then import it.

Re: How to transfer waypoints to SD card on XT
Yes, MapSource exported its database as a .gdb file mainly to allow users to maintain difference databases, with BaseCamp that's all done from within BaseCamp, which can also read .gdb files if needed.

Re: How to transfer waypoints to SD card on XT
Lots of interesting discussions here but to answer the OP. BaseCamp is designed to send data either to the GPX folder on your device if you send data to it, or if you send data to the card it will create the correct folder, which is Garmin/GPX.

Re: Import POI from Zumo 550
@Dunny
They are available in BaseCamp if as I posted above you either have your zumo connected or if you've loaded POI files to a removable drive as BaseCamp can read them from both. POIs that are part of the map database are also available in BaseCamp

Re: Import POI from Zumo 550
.gpx files can contain routes, tracks, waypoints etc
POIs as defined by Garmin are .gpi files and cannot be imported into lists etc in BaseCamp.

Re: Import POI from Zumo 550
or you can connect your 550 to computer, and use file explorer to look at the 550 files and copy/paste the Camp POI files to a folder on your computer, and from computer then copy/paste those POI files into a new List folder in Basecamp, those POI files probably have a .gpx file extension POI files...

It'll only be highlighted if you have a device connected containing POI files, these end in .gpi

Re: Installing OpenTopoMaps on Mac
Afraid you can't AFAIK. What you can do is copy them from your device to a removeable drive, either virtual or physical, and use that instead of your device. See here for more info https://www.javawa.nl/virtualdevice.html The issue may be your Mac version as JaVaWa Utilities haven't been updated rec...
