Thank you for the heads up. The update went very quickly, after a minor glitch in which the zumo kept rebooting instead of mounting on my desktop. I worked around that by powering up and letting it acquire satellites before plugging it into the USB port.

Has anyone tried connecting the zumo to a power supply and then removing the battery? Does that prevent the problem?

Thank you very much for posting this. I was about to pop out my battery to transfer a bunch of routes for an upcoming trip to my micro-SD card. After reading this topic, I will definitely put up with the glacial USB transfer instead and be very careful not to jiggle the battery while doing so.

Export it (not drag or copy it) as a GPX file, saving it wherever you like on your computer or an external drive, but NOT on your zumo. Connect the zumo, then drag the file onto the ...

Very glad to hear you are seeing some potential improvement.

One question: are these routes using the same start and end points? I know my 660 basically refuses to navigate routes if the start and end are too close together, much less identical.
