I have a 660, so I won't be much help to you with your new 595. But there are already some very knowledgeable members on this forum that should be able to help you.

I also have a 660 that did random recalculates. MIne would recalculate even though my unit was set to ask before recal. It didn't send me in a completely different direction as far as I could tell.
