Re: Temporary Files left on Hard Disk After Map Updates
Not sure if this still applies, but you can also uninstall old map versions, the old maps appear as installed programs (or apps as they like to call them now) to save quite a large chunk of HD.

Re: what device?
With the nuvi, I just slipped in into a sandwich baggie when it rained, worked fine! I used to use a Nuvi 360, however a very wet ride through France convinced me to 'splash out' on a Zumo. Problem I had was the plastic bag fogged up on the inside, and the bulldog clip I used to keep the bag tight ...

Re: Learning and using Basecamp
Hi, I've used the MyRouteApp, but find it too did the trying to send me to the end destination straight away. I assume you use the "gold" membership to get the Google maps facility. Do you save it as gpx1.0 or gpx1.1? I've not tried the MyRoute app, but a friend used it on a tour around F...

Re: Learning and using Basecamp
I find it's easier to do the initial planning on MyRoute using Google maps, and Streetview, then export, open in BC and check it's all on the right roads (it usually needs a tweak or two) before sending to the Zumo. MyRoute also allows you to automatically add points along the route, which I turn to...

Re: EU 2019.20 NTU - now available
There's a thread open on the Garmin forum, which Garmin have acknowledged, of folks having issues installing maps to their PC. Whether that is your issue I can't say. It's not a universal issue as my and many others maps have updated ok. Thanks, this was the conclusion I was coming to as I've just ...

Re: Europe NTU 2019.20 update to 390
Thanks for responses! Tried all that, or all the relevant bits, still not joy :( The way it's looking is there's a problem either with the Garmin servers, or my ISP as the map file download appears to stall and time out, so I'm going to leave it for a week or so and try again. I suppose I've not rea...

Re: Europe NTU 2019.20 update to 390
The EU map has been split for a while, as it had exceeded the FAT32 4Gb limit. The fact the Install to pc was a separate option will be because you didn't have the full EU mapset installed on your device, as to why you can't now install it to your pc I don't know. You say you got an error message, ...

Europe NTU 2019.20 update to 390
I've just updated my 390 to Europe NTU 2019.20 maps, couple of things concerning me... Express didn't give me the option to install to PC when installing the update, and the new maps are split into two img files named 'All north' and 'All south' Europe on the 390. The install to PC is now a separate...
