Re: 590/595 new seals required

I'd prefer something this side of the water given the choices to save on postage / import tax etc but thanks for the heads up.

Hopefully something in Europe/ UK will get suggested.

Re: Screen brightness failing

Update to this. I got the screen replaced by a sat nav repair company. Works fine now so it must have been the screen or "digitiser" that was starting to fail.

590/595 new seals required

I've accidentally spilt WD40 on the screen of my Zumo 595. I didn’t think much about it at the time so just gave it a quick wipe. Unbeknown to me WD40 will cause silicon/rubber seals to swell and expand! The result is the seal around the screen has expanded so much its popped out of the track that h...

Shaping points converting to way points

I planned 12 days worth of routes on Basecamp. I meticulously made sure all routing points were changed to shaping points (won't announce) in Basecamp before sending the routes to the 595. The unit imported the routes and recalculated but in doing so has randomly changed some of the shaping points b...

Screen brightness failing

Just returned from 12 days touring Europe and had a repeated issue with my 595. At the start of the trip the screen was fine, I could read it OK in full sunlight. I noticed a few days in , particularly on motorway stretches in full sun, the screen started to flash with random lines flashing right ac...

Re: Top line map display

Thanks, I had found the audible alerts, but its not these that are the problem. The visual alerts would not be an issue if they did not get "stuck" on the screen.

Top line map display

When I have a route running on my 595 the top line of the map gives warnings of up coming obstacles. For example it may say "school ahead" or "bends in 150 meters". The warning then disappears once past the area. Which is OK, except on my last trip to Germany it would warn of &qu...

Re: configurable map boxes

Thanks sussamb thats helpful and answers my question. Thing is I only use Time to arrive and Distance to arrive. On my 660 I had this on each box left and right. It works great. Adding the 3 extra boxes on the right just covers the map. As I say, I have a huge speedo on the bike, I don't need an ext...

configurable map boxes

There are two boxes on the map screen while following a route, one bottom left and one bottom right. The one on the bottom right, when you press on it, can be changed to various things like Distance, Arrive In, Arrival Time. The one on the bottom left shows Speed and can not be changed?? I know how ...
