Re: Weird Routing Behaviour (2)

My observation of the 3 u-turns then routes sensibly is based on a route that previously it would take me within a couple of miles of the destination, still wanting me to u-turn, and do about 8 miles back along the same roads I'd come along. My examples went on with U turn request until I was withi...

Re: Weird Routing Behaviour (2)

Has the u-turn madness been modified by Garmin? I had a small route with a via / waypoint in which it would repeatedly ask me to do a u-turn even when it would double the journey length. Same route now seems to recalculate sensibly after about three u-turns requests. IIRC the SP3 took so long to rec...

Re: Zumo XT2 in few weeks?

I think the Zumo XT is actually fairly fast. Try using a Zumo 396 sometime. A buddy of mine has one. The route calculation time is glacial. It actually feels slower than the old 660... I have a 396 and in its defence, at least it can recalculate a route that is sensible if you go off an imported ro...

Re: Zumo XT2 in few weeks?

Like many, I'll not be rushing out to buy the XT2 that may have all the faults the similar lookung XT

After last summers problems of repeated u-turns in Montenegro I've bought a 396. It has its peculiarities, it also prefers faster roads, but doesn't go into the u-turn meltdown of the XT.

Re: Zumo XT2 in few weeks?

Looking at the Garmin video embeded in the article below, there doesn't seem to be a map scale bar or north arrow when routing along a road :(

Re: Zumo XT2 in few weeks?

Will they have sorted out the routing algorithms compared to the smaller XT?

To me it looks like a Tread rebadged as an XT.

Re: Xt power draw

I know the power consumption is not listed, I checked the user manual and the interweb myself, I just wondered if anyone had actually measured it for themselves, I might if I get a chance and if I do I will post the results. I have a mains charger that shows amps supplied, and with my XT on, it was...

My bike also lives in a garage, but gets a couple of weeks outside each year.

The other solution is just to put a plastic bag over it

Motorbike mount cover

Does anyone know if there's a cover for the bike mount that's like the 590 one that I can buy. I know there's the rubber cover for the power studs, but I like the way the 590 one clips on and off.

Tried googling for one with no luck
