No more than 20 mp3 files in one folder will significantly speed up booting.
My suggestion:
SD:mp3\00\[20 mp3 files]
SD:mp3\01\[20 mp3 files]

Use a PC for all file work on your Garmin. Any file manipulation on the Zumo will have the Mac writing hidden files to the Zumo also. My zumo 550 and 665 find mp3s in any folder. It's just nice to organize them in an mp3 folder.

On the 660 it s called a dust cap and is not waterproof.

Garmin took a step backwards with the 396. My 665 can edit any Favorite on the device to any of the standard symbols, or the gpx file of Favorites that I send from either BC or MS can have custom symbols that appear on the map as such.

I've had my Z550 and Z665 since they came out. I remember a lot of what was discussed on the old zumo site. There's a number of names you'll recognize over here.
