Re: Following route created on Basecamp

No, it's the way most want it to work. If I enter a trip I generally want to start at the start. If you select the start then your device calculates the route to it and follows the route from there. Alternatively if you want to pick up the route elsewhere you select the appropriate point on the rout...

Re: Following route created on Basecamp

The mistake you're making is a common one, if you want to start the trip at the first waypoint you select that, not the end point.

Re: Staying with a pre-planned route

Great to hear. I suspect it's using BaseCamp that made the difference. It would be interesting to see what happens if you cut out the MyRouteApp and create the route directly in BC. My routes for France are just planned in BC and work perfectly as well.

Correct, earlier ones use NT maps, later ones NTU.

Re: Do I need to retire my 660?

Yes, that's often the case, sometimes a new device takes a bit of getting used to, or rather unlearning the old device takes a while. Once you do you realise the benefits :) This is the same with Basecamp! It's different to what how other software works and takes a bit of learning! I hated it to st...

Re: Zumo 595 thoughts after 1500km (1000 mile tour)

Apparently you don't own a 595. Otherwise you would know what you're talking about: No I don't but the current crop of Garmin devices pretty much work the same and the video I linked to explains how to achieve what you want on the 595, as do the screen shots above. Hopefully you will now be able to...
