I created a trip on Basecamp and sent it to my 395 and 396. A buddy brought his xt over and I sent it to his xt via Bluetooth.

Can I do it this way without issue going from my 395/396 to the 550? Or should I hook the 550 to pc and load it that way?

I did get my 550 sent off and it was returned in less than a week. One button replaced, looks great. Button repair and internal battery replaced. It's nice how fast it finds satellites again!

I just went to update my 396 to 2021.2 maps and GE offered this update. After updating, GE would fail to update maps on the 396. I've used this laptop to update numerous GPS unit, 6 to be exact with 6.2.1. I moved the 396 to my PC which still had 6.2.1 and I didn't let it update to 7.1.2. updated 39...

Is the Garmin case a hard cars like for the 396/595,, or a padded sleeve?

Amazon basics has some nice compact hard cases. If you're wanting 9ne big enough for the GPS and other bits, look for the Amazon basics case for the go pro camera. You can remove the insert and it's big enough to hold the mount as well.

Maybe not, but that component is installed on all my computer's and there was no issue installing GE
