Re: Zumo phantom touch issue

One thought, do you have a screen protector fitted?

I do not - but a post further down suggests cleaning it to make sure there isn't grease or something on there. I'll spiff it up and we'll see. I have an 11-hour drive coming up in a couple of weeks, and if it's going to happen again, I'll see ...

Zumo phantom touch issue

I'm on a road trip with a car... and numerous times over the week, the Zumo has acted as if someone pressed the speed indicator on the lower-left corner, so it goes to the trip-odometer screen. Backing out of that screen only lasts for seconds, before it pops back to the stats screen. The only ...

Re: Update to XT taking forever

I keep forgetting that WiFi and BT are both in the 2.4GHz spectrum. I remember now I used to have problems with a bluetooth headset on my laptop when the only wireless I could connect to was 2.4GHz. Thanks for the reminder, it's a bit less aggravating knowing this!

Re: Update to XT taking forever

Started this morning at abt 1100 an update, it is now 1700 hrs and there are still 12hrs to go….

Connected via wifi, but is this normal???

My XT is weird when it comes to downloading updates via WiFi. I can't explain it, but if I have Bluetooth enabled, the download never seems to happen. If I ...

Re: MacOS Sequoia and Basecamp - no bueno!

Yup, I know they can't both run at the same time. I'd run Express first just to see that it "sees" the XT, then I'd exit Express and run Basecamp with no luck. It all seems so sketchy, I wonder if someday it just plain won't work at all!

Re: MacOS Sequoia and Basecamp - no bueno!

Thanks for suggesting DRIVE. I'd completely forgotten that was an option. Next time I find myself stuck... I may give that a shot.

MacOS Sequoia and Basecamp - no bueno!

I'm having issues...

XT connected to my MacOS machine... Garmin Express will come up and connect just fine. If I run Android File Transfer it will ALSO come up and connect just fine - but running Basecamp... it never sees my device.

Security settings for Basecamp are set to "full disk access ...

Re: Mac users using Android File Transfer

I tried MacDroid a few days ago, and could not get it to work. I killed it, then fired up AFT and BOOM it connected... (yes, AFT was completely not running when I launched MacDroid).

I would contact Garmin support - you may perhaps have a bad unit!
