All you need on the card is a folder named Garmin containing the file GarminDevice.xml copied from the Garmin folder on your device. Once you have the map on your card remember to delete that file

I'd still repair your uninstaller. You could also try JaVaWa's GMTK to remove the maps

You have a corrupted Windows uninstaller. If you search on Google you'll find ways to repair it. Once you've repaired it you should be able to uninstall the maps and then use Express to reinstall them.

The uninstallation starts, then there is a warning "user already present" or something like that. But where are the NT versions located? They are present in the Windows uninstaller. But I can't find them in the Maps folder. Yet I haven't touched these. Finally, why doesn't Basecamp see th...

I always uninstall my old Garmin maps via windows uninstaller so unsure why you cannot, it does though depend on them being installed correctly via Express. Easiest solution for your old NT maps is to copy them to a removable drive, eg a USB stick, and BaseCamp will then read them from there.

This is often caused if you have 2 maps selected covering the same area

Would help to know what speed camera database you're using but with some they can be turned off, how or whether possible depends on the database.

Try clearing the cache by deleting C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\Garmin\BaseCamp\ProductDataCache and DeviceCache
