Re: Tread: no results when searching
Thanks for the post. It's nice to hear a positive response to the new online software. I have limited access to Tread, because I need to be able to plug in an XT2. There must be a way of fooling it with an sd card, but I have never tried.... This is in no way a criticism - except perhaps of me - The...

Re: Pairing Zumo 660 with Cardo EDGE?
It has been a long time since I owned a 660. But... Some things I discovered with the Edge and my current Zumo * Pair the edge as a second phone, not as a GPS * The passkey for the Edge is 0000. I don't recall ever using it. The opportunity to pair times out after a short time. Make sure that there ...

Re: Using a Packtalk Edge with a Zumo 595
The way that I set it up is the way Garmin intends, not as the way Cardo intends. Pair the edge to the 595 as a second phone, not as a GPS. I think that You need the voice going through the 595 - in effect, it needs to be seen as a phone by the headset. Pair the phone to the 595 as the first phone. ...

Re: New User - Mysterious Problem with my Zumo XT
Right - the Xt will only pair with one headset, so to get the Zumo to give you navigation and for you to be able to talk to your pillion, you need your headset to be paired with your pillions headset on a second channel. Pair your headset with the XT first, then pair your headset with the other head...

Re: XT2 changes Tread’s route when sync’d
I think I can probably answer that. But it would involve me in a lot of specuation about the disparity between Garmin's original concept and the ability of the average user or technical support worker to understand it. Particularly when the documentation that I have read hardly disturbs the air abov...

Re: XT2 changes Tread’s route when sync’d
I don't know Tread, and cannot experiment much as it requires an XT2. But I did some testing with how routes from Explore behave when they are sent to the XT. At the time, routes were just straight lines between points, and it was not possible to include a waypoint in a route. But it seemed to make ...

Re: My XT is freezing and acting up... Any clues?
That's not right, and I cannot think of anything that would do that - except maybe a combination of mucky screen and low battery charge. Talk to garmin. Make sure they know it is brand new, and that brand new replacement is in order. Ask if you need to take it back to the shop for that ? I've had a ...

Re: New User - Mysterious Problem with my Zumo XT
The bluetooth issue. No the routing wouldn't have caused that - (unless your Xt was not connected direct to your headset) But when you turn off BT, the XT still issues instructions. There is a speaker at the back of the XT and it uses that. Believe jt ir not, you do not realise that the sound isn't ...

Re: New User - Mysterious Problem with my Zumo XT
Hello and Welcome to the Forum It is very unlikely that this had anything to do with your your BT connection. Since your route is entirely made up of shaping points - a missed route point would not produce this behaviour. If you have got back onto the plotted magenta route, the XT will continue to n...

Re: Trip Planner Routes
It would make sense to have the ones created earliest as being the ones most likley to need deletion. But I can't say that I had noticed that before - I usually just clear all of them out and start afresh..
