This is for the XT. The XT2 might be similar, but the XT uses Explore to enable collections. I believe the XT2 has collections. If not then the link below will help with that.

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
First of all - I know nothing about Tread or the XT2. But I do know a bit about the transfer of routes to a Garmin Device. It looks like the route from Tread exports juts the Via points, and an indication of the type of routing to be used. On the XT if you were to send it Adventurous - it would use ...

Re: Save created "Round Trip".
XT Answer. It may work for the XT2. Round Trip creates a magenta line without route points. In effect it is like a track that has been converted to a trip - which will navigate you and find a way to return to the closest point should you deviate from the plotted line. So - Create your round trip. Sa...

Re: 2025.10 Maps on Zumo 550
I think that the memory card could be as big as 4Gb and a later update to the software enabled it to use maps larger than 2Gb (V4.90) https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=1671#Instruct The heading refers to GArmin 5xx - but the date is 2012, so it cannot be referring to the 590/59...

Re: Bit of Help please
So you are sending your route by email You are selecting just the route, and then using the option to 'Export Selection' ? You then have to save the result in a file somewhere. Something unique. For example "Exported Routes 13 May 1734 Attempt 327.gpx" Make sure that you know where you hav...

Re: How to Create POIs - A series of posts
They almost are stickies - both of them appearing at the top of a thread that has previously only been added to just once in the last three years.
But I don't see why not - they answer most of the questions posed in the other topics and posts in the thread

Re: How to display custom POIs on the map
My fault, you are right. With the GPS position simulated all the POIs appear. What have confused me is that the official garmin POI are visible even when you open the map to add a destination. Custom POI appear only during the navigation. Anyway thanks for the info :D I am still not sure about the ...

Re: How to display custom POIs on the map
This morning I posted 2 sequences of info about how to create CustomPOIs and How to use POIs in making a 'TourGuide'. I remember playing around with these when I got my first Zumo a 550 in 2010 I think. The instructions from Garmin - which are not very clear - have remained the same since. I'd be su...

Re: How to Create POI Tour Guides - Series of Posts
#7 Placeholder I am just leaving this here in case I need to add anything else. I've been wanting to document this process for a long time - never wuite got round to it. It seems like a lot of work, but actually, when you get into it it is quite rapid. A single GPI file can contain a lot of points o...

#5 Tour Guides - Install POI Files and Test Save the POI file on the XT The POI file has been saved on the computer in the location that you specified. (eg J:\TG-Demo\TG-Demo.gpi ) Connect the Zumo XT using the USB cable and wait for it to show up in your File Explorer. Copy the file and paste it o...
