Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
Generally speaking, shaping points don't change anything. (That isn't quite the truth, but I won't go into that). Shaping points make the navigation more flexible. You can miss out a shaping point that is plotted (eg road closures, diversions etc) and when you rejoin the magenta line, the satnav wi...

Re: Pairing XT with Packtalk Edge as GPS
Here are some notes that I prepared after finally getting my system set up. I jotted things down, wrote it up, and then reset everything back to initila state and followed my own notes. They are long winded (you come to expect that from me), but they are detailed and they work. I use the Packtalk Ed...

Re: Managing duplicate Garmin accounts
Did you sort this out ?
That is unusual - you must have a different user name for each account ?
I cant see a way if deleting an account - you may need to contact Garmin.
Your devices will be linked to one account or another. You may need to have serial numbers handy.

Re: Being forced to go back to a waypoint
All good advice here. Triplog . Since you are using Basecamp, you need to be aware that Basecamp uses the word Waypoint only for the points that are created with the Waypoint flag tool. These are saved and get transferred to the Zumos Favourites or Saved locations. What is important in a route is wh...

Re: Being forced to go back to a waypoint
This is for the XT. The XT2 might be similar, but the XT uses Explore to enable collections. I believe the XT2 has collections. If not then the link below will help with that.

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
First of all - I know nothing about Tread or the XT2. But I do know a bit about the transfer of routes to a Garmin Device. It looks like the route from Tread exports juts the Via points, and an indication of the type of routing to be used. On the XT if you were to send it Adventurous - it would use ...

Re: Save created "Round Trip".
XT Answer. It may work for the XT2. Round Trip creates a magenta line without route points. In effect it is like a track that has been converted to a trip - which will navigate you and find a way to return to the closest point should you deviate from the plotted line. So - Create your round trip. Sa...

Re: 2025.10 Maps on Zumo 550
I think that the memory card could be as big as 4Gb and a later update to the software enabled it to use maps larger than 2Gb (V4.90) https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=1671#Instruct The heading refers to GArmin 5xx - but the date is 2012, so it cannot be referring to the 590/59...

Re: Bit of Help please
So you are sending your route by email You are selecting just the route, and then using the option to 'Export Selection' ? You then have to save the result in a file somewhere. Something unique. For example "Exported Routes 13 May 1734 Attempt 327.gpx" Make sure that you know where you hav...

Re: How to Create POIs - A series of posts
They almost are stickies - both of them appearing at the top of a thread that has previously only been added to just once in the last three years.
But I don't see why not - they answer most of the questions posed in the other topics and posts in the thread
