Re: XT2 changes Tread’s route when sync’d

I don't know Tread, and cannot experiment much as it requires an XT2. But I did some testing with how routes from Explore behave when they are sent to the XT. At the time, routes were just straight lines between points, and it was not possible to include a waypoint in a route. But it seemed to make ...

Re: My XT is freezing and acting up... Any clues?

That's not right, and I cannot think of anything that would do that - except maybe a combination of mucky screen and low battery charge. Talk to garmin. Make sure they know it is brand new, and that brand new replacement is in order. Ask if you need to take it back to the shop for that ? I've had a ...

Re: New User - Mysterious Problem with my Zumo XT

The bluetooth issue. No the routing wouldn't have caused that - (unless your Xt was not connected direct to your headset) But when you turn off BT, the XT still issues instructions. There is a speaker at the back of the XT and it uses that. Believe jt ir not, you do not realise that the sound isn't ...

Re: New User - Mysterious Problem with my Zumo XT

Hello and Welcome to the Forum It is very unlikely that this had anything to do with your your BT connection. Since your route is entirely made up of shaping points - a missed route point would not produce this behaviour. If you have got back onto the plotted magenta route, the XT will continue to n...

Re: Trip Planner Routes

It would make sense to have the ones created earliest as being the ones most likley to need deletion. But I can't say that I had noticed that before - I usually just clear all of them out and start afresh..

Re: Hello from Bristol...!

That is why I suggested a smaller capacity card. I wanted to give one instruction that would work. His problem is that he doesn't seem to be able to get Basecamp to put his routes anywhere that the XT can see them. He is no novice at this - He's owned a 590 for years and is a regular user of Basecam...

Re: Hello from Bristol...!

Thanks both for that. Time is getting rather short and we have to be all packed up & ready to go for Monday. In view of that I will probably go with what I've managed to do so far. If it fails, it won't be a complete disaster as there will be others on the same event & we'll slot in behind ...

Re: Zumo xt2 screen unresponsive

Welcome sperelli If Garmin have given you a return number, then you'll be receiving a replacement unit pretty quickly. Your replacement is usually posted ont he same day that yours arrived with them. Probably a refurbished one, but I think they take the models that have been returned, and keep the p...

Re: Trip Planner Routes

'Rout' without the 'e' is pronounced Rowt. That means:

" ... in retreat in a disorderly fashion, or is in a state of confusion".

Given what the XT gets up to, I wonder if 'Rowt' is the correct pronunciation !
