Re: BT Headset for XT needed any ideas?

I went with a Packtalk Edge to pair with my Zumo XT. Love the dynamic mesh connection, love the mount, Love the fact that it utilizes a 3.5 mm connection for audio, no matter if you install the included JBL Helment Speakers, or if you choose to use wired 3.5mm earbuds, of in my case, custom molded i...

Re: Track to Trip Calculation Errors

Update: When sending the entire list from Basecamp to the XT through Explore, the Routes do not transfer over to the collection and then to the XT, only the tracks... Based on the suggestion above: I attempted to "Export Selected User Data" with only one of the Routes selected in Basecamp,...

Track to Trip Calculation Errors

I've created a 3 day trip from Central Indiana over to the Northern Entry Point on the Blue Ridge Parkway down to Knoxville, TN with a couple of overnight camping stops on the way. Preferring to follow the Blue Ridge Parkway the entire length. I've created a Routes and have drug the route to fit my ...

Re: Using XT2 on XT handlebar power

Garmin cautions against it. They indicate that it is a loose fit on the XT mount and you run the risk of the XT2 falling off the XT mount. No more work than it is to install a mount, I'd personally replace the mount and charging cable to take advantage of the standard 12V power into the XT2, and to ...

Re: So, who trusts their XT's navigation?

It seems like there should be three choices if you combined the way they seem to work and the way we'd like them to work... Shortest Distance (Fewest miles traveled between start and end regardless of time) Shortest Time (Choosing the combination of roads that creates the quickest ETA) Faster Speeds...

Re: So, who trusts their XT's navigation?

I have been very satisfied with my XT, but... I did have to learn its unique operating parameters compared to other Garmin devices I have owned and come to terms with a few things that I wish were different. I probably don't use mine the way most do. I plan very specific paths of travel utilizing ba...

Re: Zumo XT2 in few weeks?

How you organize your routes, tracks, waypoints, and POIs all boils down to how you want to use the device. If you want to utilize custom icons for waypoints, then Explore is a necessary evil (otherwise you are stuck with a generic green box with a heart in it). I wouldn't consider your fears of bas...

Re: Zumo XT won't power from switched source

I power my accessories on my bike with a Rowe Electronics PDM60 https://www.rowe-electronics.com/pdm60 . This is a completely programmable solution, capable of handling up to a 60 amp total power draw. It has 6 different circuits and each can be programmed for specific amperage limits, startup and s...

Re: Nav vs BC timing difference

Maybe, just maybe, if basecamp time is longer, it's allowing you time to get up from your computer, put on your gear, and get the bike out of the garage in its calculations and the XT is simply allowing the ride time... LOL Not seriously, but maybe?

Re: Routes (SD card or XT )

You will still be able to transfer files to the XT in the same way you have in the past (A Mac makes this a little more complex because the XT in an Android based device - and they don't play well with Apple devices). The tricky part is how the XT handles waypoints and custom icons and displays them...
