Re: Zumo XT/Garmin Tread Mounts
Since the Tread Group Ride Mount is compatible with the Zumo XT, I would assume that the XT Mount and the Tread Mount utilize the same pins for power, and the extra pins on the Tread Mount are for the extra features like the Group Ride communications. What I don't know, is whether or not the Tread l...

Re: Garmin Group Ride Radio
At $349.99 USD, that's a pretty expensive mount... Might be nice to know the location of other parties in your riding group when on a ride with a group of friends, but I really don't see a bunch of people springing for a $350 mount on top of the cost of the GPS. The guys I ride with are really good ...

If you have previously modified the original garmin.kmtf and created a Thick.kmtf file and are using that theme on your XT, your track widths are modified based on the current theme settings with that new feature. So if you want to use the XT's new Track ...

Re: Checking for update
Whenever I have the XT connected to an external power source, and that power source is lost before I push the power button, the XT always checks for updates and then turns off. However, it you push the power button while under battery or external power, it will just go into sleep mode. If you push a...

Re: Updates
The reason they have you connect to power is that if the device loses power (battery dies) while in the middle of an update, you can brick your unit and it will no longer work at all.

Re: Vibration
No... It' is a motorcycle specific design. It is built to handle the vibrations of a motorcycle. Have used mine on both my BMW R1150RT and my Husqvarna TE610 (on very rough gravel and off road trails) and it performs flawlessly.

Re: Bluetooth Advice Needed
Not a loss. Technology has marched on from having to be tethered via wire to get quality audio. XT pairs via Bluetooth with my iPhone and my SENA and works as intended.
Works flawlessly for me.
