Hi Stu ,thanks for your thought of checking the battery icon ,unfortunatley it dosnt work on the 340 and on we go

this is in use on my motorbike ,it is 11 years old and always performed well/

Now keeps saying BATTERY low and I believe the charging unit is working properly

Could it be it needs a new battery due to age ?

anyone any knowledge please

How can you tell if the unit is charging ? On the bike .....it shows a green battery but no indication of it being charged as I ride 8 ?....hope this is not a daft question !
