I just came across this thread because I also own a Garmin 1370T, and I’m a bit confused about the map updates.

I had understood that this model came with “lifetime” updates, but recently Garmin told me that this is no longer possible. Has anyone else received a similar message ...

That's a clever system! I like the daily structure approach - makes it much easier to manage than having everything loaded at once.
