Re: New xt2 ... using mra 1.1gpx problem with routes not importing
Thanks to all for the input re CEP. I’d just noticed how much longer it took to (re)calculate your route when choosing start point over CEP. I moved from a 346 to the XT2 so didn’t have CEP as an option before. I miss the simplicity but not the small, impossible to see in bright sunlight screen. Mo ...

Re: New xt2 ... using mra 1.1gpx problem with routes not importing
jfheath thank you again but you are definitely preaching to the converted here. I always place my start point some way up my track and wait until I have good satellite signal. I learned the hard way! I’ll definitely preview my route before setting off. The hotel or wherever I am based will be where ...

Re: New xt2 ... using mra 1.1gpx problem with routes not importing
smfollen I transfer via the MRA app. Download gpx1.1 (route, track, POI), export to Tread. Track and route arrive in Tread but you need to open the route to let Tread create its own version. If it’s not the same as the track, more shaping points required. If it’s just a small divergence, you can alw ...

Re: New xt2 ... using mra 1.1gpx problem with routes not importing
I guess those of you that have decided the XT2 and/or the Tread combo do not work won’t be swayed but:- When importing a GPX file into Tread and watching it build the magenta route, do you compare it with the imported track to see if they match? If Tread can’t build the route, it probably indicates s ...

Re: Report Safety Camera button
Re ‘Safety’ cameras, a friend and I had noticed they didn’t seem to be alerting as normal. I’m on an XT2 and he’s on a 346. After visiting the Garmin support section, I did everything it asked which was to first delete .gpi files (I deleted them all as it’s not obvious which are the correct ones). Af ...

Re: Deleted Routes Reappearing
Thanks everyone for the advice. Trust me, I've deleted in every which way and they still came back. It's obviously impractical to connect via USB when away from home but I doubt I'll need to delete anything whilst away, even any ad-hoc routes made. For the long tour, all my routes will be in both ...

Re: Deleted Routes Reappearing
FrankB thanks for your testing on the XT. I can’t remember it ever happening on my 346 or any other Garmin I’ve used (many) but it definitely does on the XT2 despite me trying all the different deleting methods. I’m all ears to anything you might discover though. The XT2 takes a lot of under ...

Re: Deleted Routes Reappearing
smfollen thanks for that. I'm now thinking that it is within the bowels of the XT2 that these routes get recycled and regurgitated. I do use Tread as I want to keep wireless route transfer from MRA. Apart from this, so far so good. No matter how many times I open the Tread app on my phone without ...

@Warrington White good luck but I fear the bike connection may be an issue. Keep trying, I’m sure you’ll work it out.

Re: Goldwing, XT2, Phone (Samsung flip4) , Music, Cardo Freecom4x
jfheath it’s an iPhone. I did have an Android phone before this and seem to remember having to always start the music playing on the phone before setting off. Not so anymore. Also, iPhones seem to remember your volume settings whereas I had to use a Bluetooth volume app to maintain them with my Z ...
