I missed your post. That looks like a very cool and reliable program. I will investigate and probably use. Thanks!!!!!lkraus wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 12:59 am I don't use Audible, but this free program looks pretty good: https://openaudible.org/

Re: Garmin 595 will not stay connected to MacBook
Still looking for a real solution but, I have something that seems to work. I turn the GPS on its face and then connect the plug to the device after the plug is connected to the computer port. This way there is no stress on connection which I think is the issue and since I bought it from EBay..........

Garmin 595 will not stay connected to MacBook
I attached my new (to me) 595 to my computer and the device shows up (disk drives) on the computer screen. After a few minutes, the devices disconnected and I get a warning that the device was removed from the computer without following proper steps (or words to that affect). So, it's new to me, I h...

Re: Audio Volume Control Zumo 595
Good information I shall endeavor to learn. I do have a "Spot Tracker" that I use so that someone I select can see where the "Tracker" is. Interesting the 595 has basically the same thing.

Re: Audio Volume Control Zumo 595
Thanks for the feedback. Regarding the Autocom SPA, I was looking to see which of the "pots" on the printed circuit board control which inputs. But I found out I did not need it when I found there were two volume controls on the 595. As you mentioned above, I think, one is "master&quo...

Re: Listening to Audio Books on Zumo 595
I thought I'd probably have to get a "converter". Did a search and found this one. Since I have a MacBook, it would work.
Only problem is the cost. But I can download some books in advance and probably get enough for one year.

Listening to Audio Books on Zumo 595
Is there a way to listen to "audio books" on the 595? The audio books I have been listening to on the 665 are in an AAX format. I download them from Audible.
I would like to keep listening to them.
Thanks.

Audio Volume Control Zumo 595
I finally got my new (to me) Zumo 595 interfaced with my 2015 Goldwing. The main issue was that I use an Autocom Super Pro Automatic for our headsets (I have used Autocom devices since 2007) and I had to remove the 665 wiring and install the 595 wiring. Got it all up and running today and tested the...

Re: RouteConverter
Actually it did not come with a real "car mount" just a windshield thingy and a way to mount the GPS Bike mount to that. It did come with what appears to be a power cord for use in the car. Got the maps updated and we shall see how it all works out. Had to add a memory card (32GB) but it o...

Re: RouteConverter
Cool. And yes it came with a Car Mount but I have mount I used in my 1996 Explorer (still have it but it is for sale now) so I could use my Zumo 550 in the Explorer. It has a much stronger mount and, given the weight of 595 probably the best choice. Got it connected to he Mac today but need a memory...
