Re: "Food and Drink" gone from POI Menu in 2027.1
POI subcategory loss is due to a corrupted ProductDataCache. This can be fixed by deleting the ProductDataCache directory allowing it to be rebuilt. Basecamp will do the rebuild automatically. Note: I prefer to rename it until it has been successfully recreated.
Do the deletion with Basecamp shut ...

"Food and Drink" gone from POI Menu in 2027.1
I was updating my 2026 summer plans to the East Coast of Canada this summer and low and behold Garmin has gone and done it again!!
When North America NT 2026.3 is the map selected in BaseCamp, I can choose "Food and Drink" as a category under POI. When using the 2027.1 version the choice is gone ...

Re: Motorbikes No Entry - street sign icons visible on the map
If possible ZOOM in to where the signs are popped up. While you say that the routes are "essentially" the same, if they are not you may have the avoidances showing on the screen. That could be the source.
As to turning on or off such signs, I am sorry I don't know how to do that.
I'll try playing ...

Re: Motorbikes No Entry - street sign icons visible on the map
1 - Do you have any "avoidances" turned on? Like "No dirt roads", "No U-Turns", anything like that that would cause it to show this?
2 - Are you connected to the Tread App? Is this some sort of traffic warning from the Tread App?
3 - Have you checked with the local authorities, as maybe they have ...

Re: Tread with off line maps
I see the "Add Offline Map" now that I went looking for it. Thanks for the heads up on that one.
During my other post on the subject I did mention that Garmin did not setup the device for Bluetooth file transfer and only has it configured as an audio device with contacts. A real shame because ...

Re: Tread with off line maps
When you say "maps" do you mean "routes"? I don't think you can download the Garmin maps to your phone (I could be wrong).
If you meant to say "routes", you don't NEED a network connection to your XT2.
You could download them from your phone to a SD card and import them via the SD slot of the XT2 ...

Re: Tread app "Enabling Storage" automatically
I did it! I made a route on Tread App, sent it to myself on Signal, saved the file to the SD Card through the adapter I had on hand. Then I inserted the SD Card into the XT2 and it found it, and asked if I wanted to IMPORT it. I did. It worked. Hope that gives you an option.

Re: Tread app "Enabling Storage" automatically
I tried this just now. I was able to go into the Tread App, make a route, hit Sync (upper left corner in the Explore feature) and it is reading my test.gpx file. Just looked deeper into my Tread App, it seems I do have the "Enable Storage" feature turned on and I cannot undo that. Sorry I really ...

Re: Tread app "Enabling Storage" automatically
Yes, they got rid of the mandatory "auto" sync some time ago. You can now choose to sync to your units routes with the Tread App or just leave it alone. I highly recommend the latter. The one thing I don't believe it does well is TELL YOU it's changed something. It just updates to what the Tread App ...
