Re: when importing route prepared with Basecamp, XT recalculates
@chris7444 Just reading this post. If you set the routing profile in Basecamp be sure to set the Profile of the route. That is what is sent to the XT, not the Default. Happened to me on a few occasions. Route Profile.jpg Off-topic: In the past I have always made sure that no recalculation is done o...

Re: when importing route prepared with Basecamp, XT recalculates
I see at least one reason for calculating when importing: durations . After loading a route, the GPS displays durations (overall duration, duration between waypoints). Now Basecamp uses average speed limits that can be configured in the activity profiles. Looking at the motorcycle activity profile o...

Re: when importing route prepared with Basecamp, XT recalculates
to answer jfheath I double checked everything and everything was configured as recommended except for the "unpaved road avoidance" (which I wanted to keep initially). I redid the test with NO Avoidance and the result is the same. the GPS calculates the route and it takes almost 2mns Regard...

Re: when importing route prepared with Basecamp, XT recalculates
Well it says
"Saving item 1 of 1 to trip planner
Calculating xx%"
And it takes 2mns or so
The route consists of 9 shaping points and 6 waypoints (including start and destination)

Hello all / Demat deoc'h
I did not say hello yet. Let me fix that I am from Bretagne/Britanny, living in the french Alps since 1987 close to the Swiss border. I ride since the age of 40 (when I decided to pass the exam ). I am a very careful rider ( understand poor pilot, very slow ). I enjoy multi days road trips the most,...

when importing route prepared with Basecamp, XT recalculates
Hello all When I import a route prepared in Basecamp, the XT recalculates the route although I have implemented/followed the recommendations found in "Zumo XT and Basecamp - Everything That You Need to Know" (https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/app.php/ZXT-P42) ------------- "On Loading,...

Re: Suggested reading, please
Wow. I just discovered this forum and this Great thread! I wanted to learn how I could display both a track and a route on the map at the same time, which is the idea that comes to mind when re-inventing the "peabody" wheel. But I learned a lot more. I think both the SD car and wireless me...
