Re: Trying to understand XT setup.

Thank you, I shall try that. Seems easy enough when you know how to do it.

Re: Trying to understand XT setup.

Back again. I was working away and I managed to use the XT to find the two destinations, the work site and my accommodation. Just putting in the post code though. Then used 'history' to find them each time. I have not got to the stage of being able to save a spot yet, so I can go back to it. I have ...

Re: What are your next projects (roadtrips)

The cost of ferries is exhorbitant over here. Plymouth - Santander in October (out of season) has just come back as £683 for motorbike and rider only.... I was hoping to go to the Colombres Rally in northern Spain, but it looks like it is way, way out of my price range. I am looking alternatives, bu...

Re: Trying to understand XT setup.

Interesting outcome.
Following your instructions I get the full keyboard, but with some letters greyed out.

I have bought an AA 2023 Road Atlas!

Re: Trying to understand XT setup.

That would be handy, I could then have the thing beside me instead of running out to the car trying to remember what I have just read or seen!

Re: Trying to understand XT setup.

Thank you JF Heath - when you say you use it at home, how do you plug it in? Is there a mains adapter you use? I have a cigarette lighter socket one for the car. I haven't got the bike wired up yet, I can't find where I put the plug for the end of the wire!

Re: Trying to understand XT setup.

I don't know how to make a route of more than one place. I have got as far as putting in a post code, that is my sum total of knowledge of how to use it. I have tried to change the screen with the buttons on (letters and numbers) so I can see them all at once, but some of them are blanked out when I...

Re: Trying to understand XT setup.

I have been quiet for a while because I have been working away. I am now going to try to pick up where I left off, but I am probably back to square one, having forgotten everything I thought I had learned. I am no further on with getting a mobile phone that talks to the internet, so all that side of...

Re: Trying to understand XT setup.

Thanks. I hadn't seen the 3 dots. it is the 'remembered' places in the history that I want to keep cleared out. I have not got beyond the stage of putting in ONE post code and going to it yet. These have mounted up and as I don't know where the postcode is, as in it is a meaningless string of letter...
