Re: zumo XT First (and continuing) impressions

@Tom Schmitz yeah a lot of forums all work differently and can be a bit confusing!

I had it with my 590 while setting up and it was doing my head in pinging up all the time thinking I cant be doing with this all the time

Then someone told me you have to take it for a drive

Re: zumo XT First (and continuing) impressions

@stu, the EULAs stopped after the first couple of days. My test today was inconclusive. I took it about three miles away with it shut down. When it was turned on it had satellites and no EULA came up. I will say that it finds satellites much faster than the 660 does. I should do a side-by-side on t...

Re: zumo XT First (and continuing) impressions

Re: Garmin 010-11478-02 AC Charger

I've since found out that of the 3 usb ports on my laptop, 1 is 2.0, the other 2 are 3.0. What in the world? 3.0 charges like 3.0 should but that 2.0 port is slowslowslow. Same thing for data transfer- 3.0 is relatively lightning compared to 2.0. 2.0 ports only put out 500mA where as 3.0 can easily...

Re: Garmin 010-11478-02 AC Charger

If you're talking about the port on a pc/laptop they only put out 0.5 amps so take forever to charge

if you have a charger that puts out 5v then use that it won't hurt the zumo as it will only take the max amps the device will allow

Re: Basecamp discontinued?

Where have you seen these posts? More than a year ago Garmin, when BaseCamp was at version 4.6.2, announced the introduction of the Explore website. That website was/is for GPSMap66 and other select devices. A footnote on that announcement said that BaseCamp development was discontinued. That footn...

I have seen a few posts in other places suggesting that development of basecamp has been discontinued! does anyone know if this is true or not?
