Re: Basecamp and via points/shaping points

Not sure if this is your issue but note that you cannot change via BaseCamp routes on your device, you need to make the changes before sending the route. Yet another reason to store routes on the SD card and not in internal memory ;) . Points can be changed in a route stored on my device's SD card ...

Re: Basecamp and via points/shaping points

Thank you, but that does not seem to work for me. I'm attaching 3 screen caps. The first is the list of points. You can see that they are grey, but the title says that they are via points. Ignore the title. Trust me. The second shows the window when I right click on one of those points. You can see...

Re: Basecamp and via points/shaping points

In Base Camp, the bottom left pane, you can double click your route name to open a box. The bold text indicates a via (alerting) point and the grayed out ones are shaping (unannounced) points. You can change from one to the other by right clicking the point. In that box, you can also tick "cent...

Re: Locking device for the XT

Do either of you lock the mount to the bike as well? I do not. Don't see the point since the mount is basically hardwired. I've always gotten the impression that thievery from motobikes is much worse over yonder than it is here in The States. Europeans always talk about cut cables and helmet straps...

Re: Distribute routes on multible zumo gps's

Hello Anyone that can help with this? We are 15 bikes going on a one week trip. We will receive pre-planned routes for the entire week. Is their a smart easy way to put all these routes, on 15 different Garmin zumo gps's ?😅 /haug Something as simple as a picture with turn directions (think Google m...

Re: mappa Michelin

in fact that would be what I would like to avoid! plan only in basecamp and not make the itinerary on an app and then check it again on basecamp, but basecamp has no references for example on scenic roads or anything else to travel, or at least, I haven't seen or understood them yet... consider tha...

Re: Adding Symbols to your route and create collections

Nobody tried it? Am I the only one with this need? You may be. I prefer cleaner & simpler routes. Your map already look cluttered to me in your posted map screenshot, I can't imagine stuffing all that onto a small gps screen. I like to delete more of the symbols and labels for when I zoom in. I...

Re: XT is convinced an open road is closed

For me this is a common thing as well as routing across closed railroad tracks and doing anything possible to avoid a small town's downtown area. I don't know why it does these but I'll often disconnect the Bluetooth and take my chances without re-rerouting. 98% of the time I'm right, and the times ...

Re: Discussion about backups and alternate databases

I use the List Folder/List structure in Base Camp, exporting files only when I want to share them, and after sharing I often delete the exported file. I won't need it for anything. I simply give each one a meaningful file name to begin with, right there is BC. It's good enough for me as it seems I a...
